We found one way to turn a fast machine to be slow is to change from Named Pipes to TCP/IP. When testing the connection we get an error and then the connection is slow. This happens with Windows 95 computers and not Windows 98. I guess we need an updated version of TCP/IP or upgrade the Windows 95 computers to Windows 98. Any ideas??

We have switched connections to hubs to make sure the hub is not at fault. We have a feeling that it has something to do with the Windows network setup. Has anyone encountered this?? Any solution?

>Is the problem specific with an operating system? Like is 95 and 98 run fast and NT runs slow? We have the same problem but it seems that only the NT Workstations run slow. We haven't come up with a solution yet. We have switch from named pipes to TCP/IP with no progress.
