I just got a report from a client. They have an application that processes 25,000 - 30,000 transactions an hour when the client is either Win 95 or NT4 (all on the same network). They are reporting throughput of 3,000 - 6,000 transactions per hour when the client in Windows 98.
Naturally, they are very disturbed by this. And, before the standard questions about machinery comes in, the 98 machinery is
newer than the 95 machinery.
Needless to say, this has some people hornswaggled here.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
