Evan,
1. VFP 5 (latest version)
2. Transaction Loop - Happening in an import -- get a record, run the posting program, get the next record, run the posting program, etc. (and no, I didn't write it).
There is a screen alive when it happens but the screen is just sitting there, not doing anything.
>>I just got a report from a client. They have an application that processes 25,000 - 30,000 transactions an hour when the client is either Win 95 or NT4 (all on the same network). They are reporting throughput of 3,000 - 6,000 transactions per hour when the client in Windows 98.
>>Naturally, they are very disturbed by this. And, before the standard questions about machinery comes in, the 98 machinery is
newer than the 95 machinery.
>>Needless to say, this has some people hornswaggled here.
