OK, but won't you have problems if you do not enable long filenames on the Novell volume? Your names will get truncated [renamed], and any references you used in your app using those long filenames will cause *file not found* errors. I am not referring to the ability to circumvent this in the DBC for table *aliases* of files that meet the 8.3 format on disk but have longer names in the DBC.
