I have this app that displays data to the user from multiple related tables in a DBC container. On saving I need to lock relevant records from all the tables affected and only if all locks succeed, do the update.

Is there an easier way than RLOCKing all the tables and if one fails, abort the update.How would I use transactions in this case for multiple tables??
