>Are you running this application with the VFP runtime? If so, make sure the run-time files match the version of VFP you used to create the application. Type ?VERSION(1) in the VFP command window to get the build number (last 4 digits). Then go to the run-time files in the windows\system directory. Check all the VFP files there for version (right click each one and choose properties, then click the version tab). You may not have the right run-time files installed.

There was a vfp500.dll and vfpenu.dll in the same directory as the exe. They were from a service pack that I have not reapplied since reinstalling vfp5.0. Deleted those and my exe executes from explorer, and I can double click my pjx from explorer.

Thank you very much. My sanity has been temporarily restored.
