It's doable in several ways, either via OLE Automation (making your application an OLE Server, and then driving it from the client application) or via DDE. OLE Automation is the preferred method; it can be directed from client applications like Word using VBA macros. Automation is much simpler to implement on both sides of the fensce; VBA interacts well with well-behaved VFP Automation Objects, and creating AUtomation objects requires much less work than implementing DDE conversations in VFP.
