In foxpro 2.5, it opens the dbf and cdx file fine and works very well. today, we want to use visual foxpro 3.0 to update the application system. we open the dbf file fine but when I use 'set order to tag key1_tag' it cause an error 'Variable 'key1_tag' is not found''. I don't

If you really do so, you must have problem in opening dbf files because the file structure of VFP3's tables are different from VFP2.5. VFP3 support true database concept and long field name, so if you want to use VFP2.5 to open VFP3's table, the VFP3's table must be created in free table mode.

Did you use C or VC++ to create your dbf and cdx file? Please give me details.
