>I can concede that a (very) few items in the Help have been improved, but the vast vast majority of them remain exactly the same from release to release, and VFP 6.0 made no difference in that regard.
I have found a lot of things to be improved with the 6.0 docs. While I am still not warmed up to the sluggishness of the html help format, I think saying that the docs have improved overall is safe to say. Most of the subject remain the same from version to version because mostof the subject matter is the same from version to version.
>You can make this claim if they update a single item, but it is misleading in the extreme!
>FLUSH, for instance, has *not* changed.
FLUSH is an outdated command. Period. I have worked with variously sized systems in various user configurations on various OSs and have NEVER needed to use FLUSH. Why would MS update the help on a command like this?
>Countless commands continue to state 'included only for compatability'
I partially agree with you here, but I wouldn't go so far as to say 'countless'.
>You would do us all a huge favour if you withheld you enthusiasm for VFP to factual information rather than propagandizing, regardless of the truth, at any opportunity.
Craig doesn't work for MS, and has no reason to 'Propagandize' for them. Every point of view is useful here, whether we all agree on it or not.
