There is alot of background with this question that I can not even remember, much less explain how I got here. But here I am. Have several "old" reports (vp 2.6 windows) that do not have data environments. Want to convert them to have data environments and a table. (With a data environment you get access to the table fields when you edit the report form. Clients like this.)

Took one of the old reports and created it in vfp 5.0 (new report). Compared the old report with the new report to see what was different. The only difference was that new report had 2 new rows: objtype=25,26. 25 is the data environment and 26 is the cursor (really a table but it says cursor). Selected row objtype=25,26 from new report and inserted them into old report. The report form seemed to work like a charm. Are there any drawbacks to editting the frx? Specifically, adding a dataenivornment by editting the frx?
