ActiveX controls in VFP
Title:
ActiveX OCX License
I just finished wiping a system clean and installing Windows NT 4.0 Workstation on it along NT4 SP4 and IE4.x. Afterwards, I installed Visual FoxPro 5.0.
When running some tests, I discovered that any attempts to use many of the default ActiveX controls in a VFP form are coming back with the message "OLE Error 0x80040112: Appropriate license for this class not found".
This is occurring on 75% of the ActiveX controls that are *supposed* to come with VFP 5.0. The one in particular that I care about is the MSCOMM32.OCX.
I have not seen this before on any of my other workstations and I dont know how to convince VFP or Windows that I am supposed to be allowed to use these controls. I tried reinstalling VFP and it did not help.
Thanks.
