My personal standard on this is, unless the line immediately preceding a command selects the work-area (or alias) to be operated on, I specify the alias in a command where you can specify it. (Like I always specify the tag name in a seek, ever since you could.)
If the line before the command selects the work-area, I *may* not specify it.
But I still felt it should be pointed out, because sometimes we're all maintaining someone else's code, and they may not be "up to" our standards, and you have to know what the implications are.
