I'm using a VFP remote view to load data in an Access MDB. Access has variable length fields where you define the maximum length. If I insert into a remote view in VFP, the data pads out to the VFP view field length in the Access table. For example the data goes into Access as padr("Any Data", 20) instead of "Any Data"

My question is there any way to get the views to insert the trimmed data values into the underlying remote data source?
