The LJ4000 drivers are a mess. M$ Word can overcome these problems, but VFP and Delphi can't. In addition, Crystal Reports hangs BIGTIME with the HP driver. Suggestions have been to get an M$ driver for this printer. They don't exist in Win98 and the HP forum no longer has a selection for LJ4000 drivers. (I've been looking since Oct. 98).

I have a CIS account, and reported this problem, and 1 of the sysops asked for my code that was generating these problems and he's tell me what I was doing wrong (Usually, the strongest probability!) and I haven't heard from him for at least 30 days.

We are using an HP 5 driver (5E or 5MP are on my disk) and we can print OK and Crystal no longer hangs up. If you have a premium membership here on UT, searching on LJ4000 may give you some hits. I know I asked questions here and got some responses, but I don't remember what they were.
