Good that you've figured it out, but you may still run into a problem given that you said you need to remove item(s).

At least in VFP 3 (that's when I stopped using AddItem/AddListItem), and because VFP proclaimed that it was "working as designed" in a KB article way back I suspect it is the same today, RemoveItem does *NOT* remove the nItemIDs when it removes an item, with the consequence that any subsequently added item with a previously removed nItemID will end up where the old one was, no matter what. This can be OK in some cases. In my case way back it certainly was not.
