Is it possible, that when you're running it on the 3.11 machine, you're running the "demo" version of FoxPro/DOS. (Am I remembering something which only pertained to an older version of FoxPro?) The "demo" version had fewer available work areas than the "full" version.

If you're running an EXE which you compiled on a separate development machine, this is obviously not the answer. Only if you're running an APP, or a group of PRGs/SCXs/etc, with FoxPro/DOS or the FPD runtime installed on each individual machine.
