The local path information is stored in the registry. Start Regedit and look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, YOUR APPLICATION, DBC Location - Local.

An even easier way to do this is, is use the framework. Whlie your application is running, click on File, then User Preferences. You can change the location of your database here.
