For personal reasons I declined the position of VFP programmer with C&T Consulting in Austin, so they continue looking for candidates who are willing to take this job. It involves programming front-end interface in VFP for back-end SyBase SQL Server for a government agency. PIECE'O'CAKE, if you ask me! I went to the interview and saw the client's facility. They run SyBase SQL Server, as I mentioned earlier, and would like to interact with stored data using VFP interface capabilities. SQLCONNECT/SQLPREPARE/SQLEXEC/SQLCOMMIT after CREATE CONNECTION is all you will need! Or, you can CREATE SQL VIEW ... REMOTE...In other words, - it's all straight forward, no-brainer, etc.!
If your experience with VFP is not very extensive, you can mention to them about your experience with VB, which they can also consider as a plus.
