That's what it does. It's basically the map at the top followed by the text of all the messages. You can scroll through the whole thing or click on the message you want to go to in the map and be scrolled to it automatically. I use it all the time. It doesn't work when the thread goes over 50 messages which is reasonable but sometimes annoying.
