Hi Everyone:

I've found a very weird problem. On Windows NT 4.0, if you happen to have your CD ROM drive mapped as letter U, you will get an "i/o operation" error if you try to run an exe file WITHOUT a CD ROM in the drive!!! IT can be ANY CD ROM - it has nothing to do with the contents of the CD. It happens when you try to call a function or procedure from anywhere except MAIN.PRG or it also can happen on command "set proc to (anyprogram.prg)". It does not happen if the drvie letter for the CD ROM is NOT U or if there is a CD in the drive.

Has anyone any idea on what this is about or what to do??? (besides keeping a CD in the drive or changing the drive letter - clients won't always do this!)

Thanks.

Alex
