Yeah, I guess I knew cursors couldn't have persistent indexes. I was just hoping Stonefield would automatically create one for me. It doesn't.

My confusion on the creating of the index was not reading my error message the first time I tried it. I was table buffering and it wouldn't allow the index to be create. The error message told me the problem but in my haste I didn't read it carefully enough. My fault. Thanks for the help everyone. It works as desired now.
