The documention on this method is not too good. It says that is available at run time and design time. Design time I've been able to get it to work.
Why does the documentation show the call being made surrounded by brackets?
Object.WriteExpression[cPropertyName, cExpression]
If you look at the Form's WriteExpression, it only shows one parameter being passed to it. The expression.
At run time I either get a syntax error or a property not found. The same lines that work during desing time do not function at run time.
I was hoping that if you we're running a wizard, you could simply write the expression to a couple of properties and they would maintain that value even after the form died. I'm not talking about a form in an executable. I realize that won't work. I'm not even sure how useful this would be in an executable. In one particular thread, there was mention of writing an "as is" expression so the expression would not be evaluated. It seems like you could get around that problem without having to use the WriteExpression and merely just set thet property.
Does anyone have any working examples of code?
TIA
