>Out of curiosity I downloaded Codebook the other day...my frickin' head aches and I still don't have a clue as what to do next :( I got it installed and created an application...but things came to a screeching halt at that point. The documentation sucks big time, and looking at the web site for support it seems that there is nominal activity and days between questions and answers.

Well, that the difference between FREE and $600 isn't it? Also, the new CB release is being documented, but, it is non-billable work for the people who do work on it. However, I believe once they get organized, Codebook will be the first successful Windows "Open Source" project.

That being said, you have to put something into CB to get something out of it. You might have to go scout out the issues of Codebook Newsletter or whatever, to learn it.

In my opinion though, the design and code in CB is superior to VPM's framework.

Also keep in mind that CB is JUST a framework while VPM is a RAD tool, there is a difference.

It's to bad you have to rely on peer support for a product you pay that much for. It's ashame for VFP too!
