I made a typo in the first message. It's suppose to say WORD instead of WORK.
Yes, Excel is installed on the work stations. I even installed the run-time
disks on the computer I use for development.

The reason I used DDE instead of OLE was that it although it is less powerful, it was a simpler to implement. I'm not married to it. But at this point,
I need it to work.
