I was just asking...I had a brand-new installation of NT 3.51 and then NT 4.0 on top of it and didn't even see DrWatson anywhere near my server. In addition I installed SyBase SQL Server on it along with Oracle7.1 Database Server running concurrently. I created several test apps that are accessing tables/views/stored procs from both databases and...no DrWatson! My point is that DrWatson has to come from somewhere and has to somehow be loaded before it starts materializing the way you describe it. Try to copy a 32-bit System Spy utility (comes with some proprietery programming tools) onto your NT and put it into a startup group and try to monitor the loading of system files...Or even better (if it's available), check what apps are running right after the startup through the Task Manager. > > >Is DrWatson mentioned anywhere in load= or run= in any of yourt system > >files? And if it is, then it might be of an older version (16-bit for > >example) > > This is a brand new installation of Windows NT 3.51 Service Pack 5. How can > it take a 16 bits version? >
