Linda, I haven't worked with Corel WordPerfect 7, but I have
worked some with ODBC.
Just on the surface, it seems from what you describe that you
may have the older MS ODBC driver. The older one only would
read VFP3 tables, and that one is still distributed in at least one
place on the web, but that's not what you want.
To know for sure you're using the latest ODBC driver that supports
VFP5, go to the MS site at URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/vfdownload/VFPODBC5.EXE .
Load this and quite possibly your situation could clear itself up.
