There are a number of API calls in the Net and WNet family of calls that might be what you're looking for; I'd start by looking at WNetOpenEnum() and WNetEnumResource() to examine lists of available shares on the network. Both require the use of a NETRESOURCE structure, so you'll need something like Paul Tatavu's POINTERS class or my CLSHEAP class to process the returned structures.

In addition, I'd look at the ADSI OLE Automation objects, which are available from Microsoft's Web page; depending on exactly what you're trying to do and the environment you're working in, they offer tremendous functionality.
