>>To All,

>>The last computer I bought (Gateway) had the nVidia video card which periodically gave me garbage on the screen when in Foxpro (all versions). I swapped for an ATI PCI card but still have the problem of "image trails" when I move objects in the designers. I want to buy a new computer but most computers come with the nVidia card with no substitute video card. I don't know what my options are. Help!!

I've had a fair amount of trouble with video cards...;-)

I'm using the Matrox G200 and ATI All-In-Wonder Pro AGP cards with very good results; I've had some problems with conflicts on some of the newer nVidia TNT chipset and some LX and BX chipset motherboards, so for the moment, I'm avoiding the Viper V550 and STB Velocity 4000, as well as lots of the older ATI cards based on early revisions of the Rage chipset. The Matrox cards have given me the most consistently stable video, with excellent 2D acceleration (if you need 3D, the Rage Pro, nVidia TNT and 3Dfx Voodoo series products are a lot faster, but haven't behaved as well.)
