What I'm about to write I'm inferring from what I've read about the control. However, if someone else has more definitive information, I'll defer to them.

If I recall correctly, the problems with the Coolbar relate directly to how VFP processes Windows messages. I'm not sure whether or not this is a bug or just an unfortunate by-product of the internal VFP architecture.
