I fill this with a lot of fields, using various fonts, points and so on to create a pretty printout. Now, if I append more fields vertically to the report, I am able to fit the fields in the available space in the report designer, but I find that at some point, the fields near the end of the page will print higher up on the form.

Hi,

Just so I am clear, are you printing one detail line? In other words, is only one record's data being printed?

Do you use the Object Postion Option Group to fix things relative to Top ro Bottom of the band? If it is set to Float, you might have problems...

One note: I have a few reports that are only based on one record. I don't put anything into the detail band; I only put things into the header. I have never had a problem with this technique.
