>1. The help for this control says to set the selectrange property to .t. to select a range when the shift key is down. This seems to defeat the purpose of using a mouse. We do not have users press shift in order to use a spinner or combobox. Why do so for a slider?

>2. There is no example in the slider help, so I looked at help for the selectrange property which has an example. It indicates that a developer must copy the example code to the "form's Declaration Section" in order to get the spinner to work. Where is the "form's Declaration Section"? I failed to find one in properties, data envior., builder, or code of the form.

I see, Erik gave gave you the answers. Basically, you use Slider Min,Max properties to set the range and Value property to return the actual position which reset by mouse.
