Hiya Paul ---

Sid Barrett left Pink Floyd in 1970 (I think) after getting more and more schizophrenic. Dark Side of the Moon was written in dedication to him and that's why there are so many references to craziness. Also, "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" on Wish You Were Here was another tribute to Sid.

"The Wall" was just a Roger Waters egotrip with no relation to Sid.

I got turned on to Floyd in 1970-1 (I think) with the release of Meddle and went nuts over the song "One of These Days..." Last time I saw them live was in 1994...wich they would put out another album already!
