>>Hi Rishabh ---

>>When they changed the MCP and MCSD rules, it became possible to get your MCP by taking one of the certification tests. Fox VFP people, that meant the VFP 3.0 test. They have retired that test now, and we are awaiting the new VFP 6.0 tests which should be beta in the Spring accd'g to the MS website. I guess when that test gets into production (middle of the year?) then it will be possible to get your MCP in VFP....you simnply have to wait.

>>>Has anyone heard anything about the Visual FoxPro MCP Certification program? I had talked to MS in Nov. 98, when they told me they'd be starting it in Jan. 99 -- but everyone I talked to in MS in the last couple of days don't know anything about it. Actually, I even have to spell out "FoxPro" for them...

I'm reposting my message due. There were posting problem with it:

Actually, if you pass the beta exam, it will count toward certification. There is no specific date for the VFP tests to be ready. Also, there is no mention on the MS web sites about the VFP tests being ready in "Spring". I just got off the phone with Robert Green and asked him about this. He said spring was, "A wild a** guess".
