I am still a little confused then... the one last thing I might tell you to try is to place a shape control behind the grid, and make the shape's color the same color as the grid background. The lines that are often unwanted but visible when you click on a grid are just slits "shining through" the grid from behind. So if you make the background the same color as the grid, you can't tell they are shining through. If this dosn't do what you want, I am out of ideas.
