2.6 code will run under VFP 6 but you will probably have some problems. 6.0 does have a utility to convert 2.6 code. How well it will convert depends somewhat on the nature of the code. If it is pretty straightforward and uses the screen builder it will be much easier to convert. You'll probably have quite a bit of work on your hands to get it working well regardless.
