I think VFP6 has changed the destruct sequence of objects. Perhaps you can use event logging in 5 and 6 and look for differences of the sequence. You should focus on objects that have references to other objects. It may take a bit of extra coding to makes sure those references get cleared.

I do not understand why moving from VFP5 to VFP6 (no code changes at all within the app) can give this kind of result unless something which was broken before is now _fixed_. Nor do I understand why I can actually close the window using this method - if an object reference still existed wouldn't it still stop a user from closing the form? My brain works better on some days than others, this is a poor day<s>.
