What kind of hard disk setup is in the server?
I was getting the same error using winnt 4.0 workstation client with
the foxpro data on a winnt 4.0 server. The server I had the data on had a raid 1 disk storage setup using a dpt wide scsi adaptor. I moved the data to a different server with just a single ide hard disk. I can't say for sure if it was the hard disk setup. I stopped getting the error shorly after moving the data. I only got the error on 1 large foxpro table that was about 150 megabytes in size. I did get the error when doing gathers and appends.
