Not having anything in the Header and Footer bands should have no bearing on your problem. Have you tried creating a completely new report with just some of the fields on it? [And I do not mean for you to modify the original report then do a "Save As", do a CREATE REPORT NEW_REPORT_NAME]. Then try the new report with the different data sets. Hopefully the problem is just corruption in the original report.
