>There should be documentation on Answer and Request files. Basically, your VFP app creates a request file containing the credit info. ICVerify is watching the folder, so as soon as you create the request file, ICVerify will read it and attempt to process. In the meantime, your VFP app begins watching the same folder for an answer file. When ICVerify is finished, it creates an answer file with the processor's response. Your VFP app reads the answer file to see if the card was accepted or declined.

Hi Mark,
I didn't get any info in the Icverify (Window's version) manual about any development. The answer/request file system that you mentioned is described in an old DOS version that I also have. I thought there may be a new active-x way but I guess I could follow the method you mentioned. As for Icverify, they told me that they do not give info on development with their software anymore unless I want to purchase a "developer's kit". This "kit" will give me another copy of the program (which I don't need) and the documentation on how to develope for their program. And for that, they want $800. I figure I could save that money since lots of developer's are generous enough to share their knowledge.
Thanks for the post.
Allen
