I don't use the view designer. I didn't realize that the parameters showed up with DBGETPROP if you specified them this way. But IMHO, this should be automatic. Since there is only one way to specify a parameter in a view (with the "?") then VFP should be able to fill in this property for you.

I knew that the parameterlist property would return your parameters if you explicitly set them with DBSETPROP(), but what's the point? what good does the property do me if I have to set it myself? I am not aware of any way that VFP uses the property internally- I have gotten along all this time just fine without it.


Thanks for the pointer though regarding the view designer. Now that I know other people use this property for something, perhaps I will revise eView to parse the view's SQL and fill in the parameterlist automatically.
