As far as I'm aware, the maximum hasn't moved from 2Gb - it may have moved upwards but it is certainly not 1Gb. I've just verified that VFP5 is 2Gb and 1 billion recs per TABLE. Look in help, contents, Technical Reference, System Information, VFP in general.
