Hello

We have a business accounting software developed in FoxPro 2.5b/DOS.

Our software uses a Hardware dongle (NetHASP from Aladdin Knowledge Systems)
for protection and has separate dongles for Single & Multi User versions.

Recently, we have been facing a peculiar problem at one of user sites in
Singapore - they are using the Multi User version installed on a NetWare
Server and accessed through Win95 Nodes.

Everytime, they minimise the software and maximise it after some time and
try to access/run any option, a 'Unable to process error' (with Cancel &
Ignore) is encountered.

I understand this is a FoxPro error. I had visited them and feeling that
since Power Management features were on, and the software being DOS based is
unable to communicate with Win95 on this, switched off Power Management
features suspecting that it may be turning down power for the peripherals
and other components. I switched off Power Management both from Control
Panel and CMOS setup.

I checked Microsoft Support Online for this error - it says it has
something to do with the Runtime C libraries (.PLB). We even checked by
unloading our two PLB libraries from memory, but this has not helped.

On another occasion, a user at their site left FACT Pro open (no module was
open) & when tried to open a module after 2 hrs, got the following error
messages -

"Unknown error code 104" cancel & ignore. Pressed ignore then got this
message "Unknown error code 170" cancel & ignore.

Our software has its own error trapping routines but these have been unable
to trap anything.

I have also checked the following articles at Microsoft's web site but have
not found anything concrete -

Q113961, Q99548, Q105281

I have also tried with SET REPROCESS TO 60 SECONDS command inside our Fox executable but it has not helped.
