Ok, you have a report that works sometimes, sometimes not, seemingly at random.

You carefully check your report design, recheck your source tables and indices. Everything seems ok, but it still only works sometimes. What's going on?

Got any hair left?

Turns out that if you put a field at the bottom of the page header band and set "stretch with overflow" to true, your report will terminate immediately when the field tries to stretch below the bottom band boundary.

This "feature" does not seem to have any particular benefit, so I am tentatively calling it a bug -- subject, of course, to all of the objections that are sure to arise.

Just thought you might add this to your list of known anomolies and really weird behaviors.
