VFP relies a lot on knowing where things are ... to make its database work.
As a result you are really asking for trouble.

Having said that ... if you really want to start trying to move files around dynamically ... you should have a look a what codebook did with hard coded data environments on forms.

Also take a look at the state of the dataenvironment object on a form ... during the load event ... provided that automatic loading of tables is set off - it is possible to alter directory locations of the database itself
