The best resource on the API is the MSDN, but it isn't targeted at the VFP marketplace. There's a tremendous book for VB
Visual Basic Programmer's Guide to the Win32 API by Dan Appleman; it's clear, covers a lot, and the syntax is fairly close to VFP - it's probably less of a jump to translate VB to VFP code than C to VFP if you don't know the language. Another book that I rely on is
Windows NT Win32 API SuperBible by Richard Simon, but it's targeted at C programmers.
The Windows 98 Developer's Handbook is another good source, but all C-centric.
George has written a FAQ that's available here on UT; unfortunately, it can't come close to covering everything you need to know in order to use the API completely (you can write books on it, and several non-VFP people have!)
If I could only get one source, I'd go for the MSDN CDs.
