No, it's very fast. This is kinda a source of frustration to me, in explaining the problem to other non-programmer co-workers somewhat familiar with queries (you know about what a little knowledge can do ;) They think that with indexes on the fields in use, and the fact that other commands are fast - putting it into a result table should be just as fast - ugh!

>I agree with Ed's first point. VFP is taking all the time building the result set on disk. I'm curious, if you change the query to just return the count of the rows in the result set (COUNT(*)) does it still take as long?
