If click ignore, I get: "File access is denied". If I click ignore again everything runs fine. I've tried putting the classes.dbf, Metadbc.dbf and the errorlog.dbf in the start directory, but to no avail.

I recently started working with MM as well. And encountered the same problems in my first exe, that I installed on a different drive than my development drive.
And putting the foxuser resource file indeed cured the problem as well.
When having the fox RESOURCE set off in deve environment I quickly so the code (MM framework) doing something with the resource file. I didn't dug it out because a simple foxuser resource file in the exe dir cured the problem and I said hey let's sort it out later.
I stumbled into this because most of the time I have RESOURCE = OFF in my in the exe included config.fpw.
Because in the past we already encountered problems we the resource file, that's way I in the habit of putting it off.
Bur no such luck with the Mere Mortals, they really use the resource file.
When I find the code again I'll sure come back on this.
