I have a FoxPro database that I have been asked to convert to Access in a few days and I have very little expereice with Access. The conversion has gone well except for a data auditing/tracking function.

When a user modifies an existing record the system duplicates the original record and modifies the duplicate. In this way there is a record of all changes made to any records. I use a boolean active fields to determine which is the latest record and only the active records are seen by users.

I have this working well in FoxPro using SCATTER and GATHER commands but I can't seem to get the same functionality in Access. I'm sure it's an easy procedure I just don't have enough experience in Access to know the right commands. Can someone suggest how I can do this.

TIA
