As I mentioned in an earlier post, there is a good article in the recent e-Business Advisor magazine that compares Notes and the Microsoft products. Using Notes strictly for e-mail (imho) is huge overkill. In addition, the non-programmed groupware functionality of Notes (e-mail, calendaring, task mgmt, contact list) is perhaps its weakest point. I haven't seen Notes 5, but if I were going to select an e-mail system strictly for groupware functions, I would pick Exchange/Outlook.
