Thanks for the info. These are all great ideas. I am curious about the last idea to place an input mask on the database field... What if I have a mask on the table field like "99:99", and then I try to save "12:00" to it (with the colon)? You see, my issue is that in some cases I may be helkping the user by not making them type the colon, but other times I may be sending in straight text with the colon, yest I want the database to store it all accurately and with the colon. Your other ideas will work, as they are on the front-end, I was just hoping there was a better non-manual way...
